Alternative Analysis Report

A design concept for CR 14 has been selected following completion of the first phase of the CR 14 study which included identification of the study area's transportation system needs, safety needs, environmental resources and potential environmental impacts and compatibility with existing and proposed land uses. The analysis used in determining this design concept has been documented in the Alternative Analysis Report. This report can be downloaded from this Web site using the links below.

In addition to identifying a design concept for CR 14, the first phase of the study also included analysis of access improvements to the regional system (I-35W and I-35E) in conjunction with a new highway corridor north of Centerville (northerly bypass). The Alternative Analysis Report was presented to the Centerville and Lino Lakes City Councils and the Anoka County Board in July 2004. The councils and board adopted resolutions supporting the project and the need to continue further study of the CR 14 reconstruction project, additional regional access and northerly bypass.

Phase II of the study—to refine the design concept and analyze community and environmental impacts—is complete. Final design and right of way acquisition (Phase III) is currently underway.
