"Quad 35" Transportation Study – City of Columbus, Minnesota

Location: Highway 23 and Highway 97 at Interstate 35

The I-35 interchange at Highway 23 (Lake Drive) and Highway 97 is surrounded by a redeveloping area. More residents and businesses will bring changes in traffic. The Quad 35 project takes advantage of the opportunity to plan the system before land use changes begin. Conceptual alternatives for the interchange and ultimate locations of county and local roads in its immediate vicinity will be developed and studied in order to determine the best balanced design that addresses capacity, mobility, and safety concerns, coupled with the City’s plans for development in the interchange area.
